Playing

Today, McKaila had a couple friends come over, Lily Correa and Amber's boyfriend, David, brought his son, Brayden over. They had a lot of fun together, climbing all over eachother, taking eachothers pacifiers, and stealing eachothers toys. (like there isn't enough for everyone)

Once Lily woke up from her nap, it was time to get it their walkers! Lily pushed McKaila around because she wasn't too sure what to think with someone else walking around, and they both trapped Roxy in the kitchen. Roxy was happy when they decided they had enough of the walkers.

I had to go in the kitchen to start getting ready for lunch time. While in the kitchen, this is what McKaila did.

9 Months Old

On Tuesday, we took McKaila to the doctor for her 9 month appointment. This was going to be a smooth sailing appointment because she didn't need to get shots. (Thank goodness)
McKaila weighed in at 19 lbs. 7 ounces and was 27 1/2 inches long. We have a beautiful healthy girl on our hands. She did a wonderful job at the doctors and even gave hugs to the nurses.

Crawling

Some exciting news to share. Yesterday, McKaila decided she finally wanted to crawl. She started trying to crawl a little bit in the morning, but by the time Courtney was home, she thought she should show off and show daddy how to crawl. It was very exciting, but now she really wants to go every where. Not like she didn't before, but rolling to get where she was going, she was very limited. Now, she makes her way into the kitchen, but still a little uneasy about crawling on the wood floors.

She loves crawling under her jumper for some reason
Lifting herself up

Yesterday, McKaila, Amber, and I went to Andrews AFB because Amber wanted to get some things at the Commisary. Before hand, we decided to surprise Courtney at work. He was very shocked and happy to see us. But, we didn't stay long because his shift was almost done and we still needed to do some shopping. While at the commisary, I decided I would see if McKaila liked going into the cart that had the steering wheel in it. She liked it a lot.

McKaila loves looking at herself, especially on my phone. So, I decided to take some pics of her beautiful smile

Waiting for Daddy

On most days when it's not too hot, McKaila and I take a walk around the block until Daddy gets home. Usually I would just carry McKaila, but now that we got our wagon from Grandma and Grandpa Kuipers, I can now put her in that. McKaila has only been in her wagon a few times back in Holland, but we didn't have room in the car for it on our way home, so Grandma had to bring it when she came to visit.
One day I will take a picture of McKaila's face when she firsts sees her daddy when he gets home from work. It's the cutest thing ever. Only Courtney can get that look from her. She is always so happy when Daddy gets home from a long day of work.

Hot Days

McKaila has been enjoying her new pool from Grandma Kuipers. Just putting on her bathing suit, she starts getting so excited. Even though this was only going to be her second time in the pool, she knew what she was going to be doing. She's so cute and we love how she enjoys splashing around on a hot day.

Daddy was hot when he got home from work, so he decided to jump in with McKaila

Cooling Off

It's been incredibly hot here in Waldorf, so Grandma Kuipers (who is here visiting from Holland) bought McKaila a pool to cool off in. Yesterday Courtney blew it up and filled it with water. So after a little nap this afternoon, McKaila was all ready to get in her pool.

Happy 4th!!!!

McKaila had many firsts yesterday! It was her first 4th of July, first baseball game, and first time seeing fireworks.

Yesterday Courtney, Amber, my mom, McKaila, and I went to a Southern Maryland Blue Crabs game. Courtney and I have been wanting to go since moving here and since we all wanted to see fireworks, we thought this was a good time to go.
We all had a great time and excited to go again!!!

McKaila especially loved the fireworks. She either sat on Courtney or I's lap and just starred at the fireworks. It was adorable!!
