Gilligan's Pier

We have always wanted to find an amazing seafood joint in Maryland, that wasn't so far away. It is about 30 minutes or so away from us, but it was well worth the little drive.

Gilligans Pier - View from the beach

So, last night, after Courtney was off of work, we all headed to Gilligan's Pier! This was the first time for all of us, except for Amber. She's been there before and that's how we became intrested in going there. We had told the Hobart's about it, so they joined in on the fun!

McKaila was having so much fun playing in the sand and throwing rocks into the water

The food was excellent and so was the view. Gilligan's is located right on the water, so they had tables on the beach along with tables in the water. We were lucky enough to be able to watch the beautiful sunset that night. Seeing the sunset again, was great. That is one thing we miss most about being back in Michigan, the sunsets!!

Washington Nationals

All summer I've been wanting to go to a Washington Nationals game, then finally Sunday we were able to go!! I was so pumped to go. Not only was it McKaila's first major league baseball game, but I love to watch me some baseball!! I've always been more of a New York Yankees fan and of coarse a Detroit Tigers fan, but getting the chance to see any kind of major league baseball game is incredible.

As soon as I woke up, I looked at my phone to see what the weather was going to be like for the day. All week, the forecast looked great. 80's partly sunny. Perfect day for a baseball game around here. But when I looked at my phone it was the opposite of a partly sunny day. 60% chance of rain. GREAT!!!!

We still headed to the Metro station, so we could take the Metro to the stadium. Of coarse, the moment we show our tickets, it starts to rain. Awesome. Game was suppose to start at 1:30, so it was about noon when we arrived to the stadium.

Literally minutes before the rain hit
The Presidents came out to greet people during the rain delay

McKaila was having fun talking and playing with all the little kids around us during the rain delay

Due to the rain, the first pitch wasn't thrown until 4:00. By then, we were more then ready to sit down and watch some baseball!! McKaila of coarse, fell asleep shortly after the first pitch, but after about 45 minutes she was ready to watch some baseball!

Got to support the umpires!!! Love you dad, wish you were here!!!

Nationals WIN!!!!!!!!!

Even though it wasn't a whole lot of fun waiting around for the rain to stop, we made the best of it!! Hanging out with family and friends made it all worth it!!

Pop Star In The Making

McKaila has always enjoyed listening to music. While we are in the car, at home, or in the middle of a store, McKaila will always shake her little booty to the music. It's so cute, watching her stop what she is doing to shake her booty and throw her hands in the air.

She now has been enjoying singing with a microphone. In the bath tub she'll use her crayons for a microphone, now she has a microphone of her own and she uses it all the time. Out of no where, she'll go grab it and start singing and dancing.

Rocking out in the car

Today, McKaila was full of energy going here there and everywhere, so today, I kept my phone with me and snapped as many silly pictures as I could. These are some of the best ones because she kept running away from me, so many of the pictures turned out blurry.

McKaila got me up at 5 this morning. So, after I had gotten her dressed for the day, I went to put her pj's away and came back to this
Trying to hid from mama
I see you

These pictures were taken before bedtime, in between her singing sessions. This girl loves her apples, so that's her bedtime snack. As you can see, she truly enjoys them

This pic is a little blurry, but I thought it was still so cute. She was trying to smile with an apple in her mouth
Chowing down on those apples

McKaila

We take so many pictures of McKaila and there are so many that don't get posted on the blog. A lot of you see them via Facebook or Instagram, but for those of who don't have access to those, I wanted to share some pictures with you all!

Courtney bought me a bike and his dad sent him a bike, so we are about to go on our first bike ride as a family!!

Starry face :)

Our little girl is getting so big! I can't believe that she is now 21 months old and is so close to being 2 years old!

Love You McKaila Rose!

Staff Sergeant

Back in May, Courtney tested for Staff Sergeant. The downfall to it was, you wouldn't find out your scores until August.

So, after months of waiting for the scores, Courtney finally found out if he passed or not. He was very worried that he wasn't going to have the scores to pass, but I had faith in him that he did well and had to keep reassuring him that!

Courtney has been working nights, so he was sound asleep when the scores came through. I just happened to be on Facebook and saw a couple people from his work congratulating him on making Staff Sergeant. So, even though I knew Courtney had only been asleep for a few hours, I woke him up and asked if he knew yet. He didn't, so I told him and he shot out of bed and ran around the house with a huge smile on his face. Plus, hugging on McKaila and I any chance he got. He was so pumped by the news that he didn't end up falling back to sleep, but the adrediline from the news kept him going.

McKaila and I are so proud of you Courtney!!!
We love you so very much!!
