Bird Watching

Lately, McKaila's favorite thing is to sit by the window and watch the birds outside, eating at the bird feeder. She has literally sat there for about a half hour just watching the birdies come and go and then gets upset when the birdies don't come back.

Now, when I say sit, she is actually sitting. She brings her chair from her coloring table and moves it to the window and will sit there. She will even bring over the other chair for Mommy or Daddy to sit with her, but most of the time, she just sits there alone and enjoys watching the birds!

I just think it's down right adorable that she sits there, puts her feet up on the window seal and just watches the birds! I think we have a lover of all things nature on our hands!

Sun Setting in Biloxi

Last night before dinner, we decided to hit up the beach and watch the sun set. It's nothing like watching the sun setting in Holland over the water, but it's still beautiful to watch.

She is one happy girl and loving the beach

We are looking forward to spending more nights on the beach watching these beautiful sunsets!

Oh Sunshine Day

We've been loving the weather here in Biloxi. The temperture has been between the 60's and 70's. This past weekend was the coldest it has been since we've been here, which was in the high 50's. But, we just love the sunshine all day. The dogs move from one side of the house to the other following the sun through out the day. Simon has his tan belly back, haha.

Since it's been so nice, McKaila is always asking to go outside now. Mostly, she just wants to play in the backyard with the dogs, but there are times where we'll go behind the house and play on the playground. It isn't too special or anything, but she loves swinging on the swings and going down the bigger slides they have.

On the right hand side of the picture is our house, the one with the over hang over the porch

30 Weeks Pregnant

I can't believe how close we are getting to having little McKenna Grace in our arms. I am now 30 weeks along and even though I love every minute of being pregnant, I'm starting to feel very uncomfortable, plus I'm very tired and have heartburn really bad sometimes.

I am however, looking forward to going to the outlet mall and checking out what Motherhood Maternity has to offer for summer clothes. Being in Maryland, I needed clothes to keep me warm, so being in Mississippi, I need something to wear to keep me cool, which I have none of.

Welcome to Biloxi, Mississippi

After a couple long days in the car, we finally made it to Biloxi, MS. We only stopped one night to stay at a motel, which was one of the longest nights ever because McKaila decided that she didn't want to sleep. But in the end it made the next day of travel a little better because she was so sleepy that she would doze off once and a while.

McKaila did really well in the car. It actually surprised me at how well she did. She was happy because she had her puppies right next to her and her IPad in her hands. Thank goodness for that IPad though or else I don't think the trip would have gone so smoothly. She kept busy with her movies and her number games. And when she got sick of that she was content with having Simon on her lap.

Once getting to Biloxi, we didn't have the keys to our house yet and because it was the weekend, the housing office was closed, so we had to stay at the motel on base. Which was great! It was like living in our own little apartment. 2 bedrooms, bathroom, laundry area, (I was very happy to be able to do some laundry) full kitchen, and living room. It was nice to fill like we weren't living in a motel in the 2 days before we were able to get our keys.

Since there wasn't a whole lot to do because we didn't have our house or any of our stuff, we did a lot of driving around. Dang, I love living 1 mile from the ocean. It's so great! So, we drove a long the water for a while, and went to the outlet mall, which isn't too far from where we live.

McKaila loved the outlet mall not only because she got to ride with Tigger but because there was a Disney store there!

Last Monday, we got our keys for the house and within an hour of getting our keys, the moving truck was in our drive way unpacking it!!

For the most part we have everything unpacked. Everything in the house is unpacked and put away, we just have to start hanging some pictures on the walls. My car has yet to be in the garage because we've been throwing all the empty boxes into the garage and it still needs to be organized with all our tubs. We are hoping to get that all done by this weekend. But all and all, the house is great and we love it. We have a park right behind our house that McKaila has been loving, but she also has her slide and stuff in our fenced in backyard and plays back there with the dogs.

We already love it here and know we are going to be really happy here.

3D Ultrasound

As many of you already know, we had a 3D ultrasound done to see little McKenna Grace. We had it done right before we were set to leave Waldorf because we weren't too sure on what they had available here in Biloxi. And plus, we loved going to That's My Baby Ultrasound so we really wanted to get another 3D ultrasound done there before leaving.

Of coarse, just like her big sister was when we got a 3D ultrasound , McKenna wasn't cooperating when we first got there. She was fast asleep with the umbilical cord in her face. So, I had to walk around and drink some cold water for about 10 minutes and then tried again. Thankfully, McKenna was ready to show her face. She was a busy girl this time around. She was smiling, sticking out her tongue, opening her eyes. It was just so amazing.

I have been meaning to post these pictures of the ultrasound since we had it done, but there was just so much going on with the move, that blogging was the last thing on my mind. ENJOY!!

Not the best picture, but these are the two girls 3D ultrasound. McKenna is on top, McKaila is the bottom
