Favorites

I haven't been so good at keeping up with the blog posts lately, sorry! I take many pictures on a daily basis of the little ones, but when nap time comes around or after we put the girls to bed, the last thing on my mind is to blog.

When it was just the girls, I wouldn't have a problem of putting out a blog or 2 during nap time, but these days, while the girls are down, I just want to take a nap myself or get some cuddles in with Logan because he's already getting so big. I have to soak in these solo moments with him right now. And after the girls go to bed, it's Courtney and I's moments together playing with Logan or just having our time after he falls asleep.

Here are some of my favorite photos of the littles from the past month. I will probably be posting more blogs like this one with random pictures from the months we don't do much, because it's just easier and well, we aren't going out on a whole lot of outings these days.

The days are already reaching temperatures of close to the 90's which also means that the heat index is in the 100's. So, we've been enjoying the outdoors more so after dinner. The girls go out front and play chalk or we throw the ball around. Logan already is looking like he is ready to get up and run around with them. Soon enough little one!

The girls were in the middle of running around when I told them to stop for a picture. This day, they both looked so grown up to me

Logan has been slobbering a ton and chewing on anything he can get his hands on

Logan 3 Months Old

Logan James

Hating tummy time
Loves standing up with help from mommy and daddy
6 oz bottles every 3 to 4 hours
Wearing 3 month clothing
Favorite spot is being in mommy or daddy's arms
Lights up when he sees his sisters

Logan didn't have an appointment this month, they are every 2 months, but Logan is growing like a weed. He is already getting too big for some of his 3 month sleepers because he is getting too long and just like his sisters, his feet are getting to big for them too.

We did have a little scare with Logan in the last month, but didn't want to share with anyone until we knew what was really going on.

At Logan's last doctors appointment (2 month) the doctor had asked if we had taken Logan to get an ultrasound. Right there my heart sank and the doctor must have known by the look on my face because he right away said that it is most likely nothing, but we would like to catch it right away if there is something. He goes on to say that on the top of Logan's butt crack it makes a Y, which could be spinal bifida. Over and over again, he kept telling Courtney and I that it's more than likely nothing, but of coarse, they just want to be 100% sure.

We had to wait a week before they could get Logan in for an ultrasound. I stayed at home with the girls, while Courtney took him in to get the ultrasound. Courtney said that he did great, of coarse. The tech that did the ultrasound told Courtney that it would take up to 48 hours to get the results and they would call him. It ended up being a week before we heard any results, but when they finally called, it was such a relief. Everything with Logan looked perfectly normal and there is no signs of spinal bifida.

But, dang that was the longest couple of weeks, EVER!! I knew our baby was healthy in every way, but to have that scare, makes you go a little crazy. It was the only thing that was on my mind it seems, until we finally got the news.

Last Night

It was Amber and Alex's last night in Biloxi, so we decided to have a cook out with our neighbors for one last hurrah. It's always very hard to see my sister go after such a short visit, but so happy that we had a great, enjoyable night with everyone before they left.

Auntie, McKaila, Logan, and McKenna

Alex was afraid of breaking Logan, so he never held him, until we forced him too. They both weren't thrilled about the situation

McKenna loves Ms. Christy

McKaila loved hanging out with Alex! Both girls became very attached to him

USS Alabama

It was birthday time again and it was time to think of where to take McKenna for her birthday. Like I have said in previous birthday posts, Courtney and I decided to take the kids where they want to go for their birthdays instead of buying them something.

I had McKenna choose between going to the zoo or going on a big boat. She chose to go on the big boat, which is the USS Alabama. We have gone here before, but it was when McKenna was almost 3 months old, so it's not like she remembered being there.

It just so happened that the time we wanted to head to Mobile, Alabama to go to the USS Alabama, it was the same day that my sister, Amber and her boyfriend, Alex were going to be flying in from Maryland. Perfect timing for them to enjoy the outdoors with us.

Just like the first time we visited the USS Alabama, we had a child sleep the whole way through it. This time instead of McKenna, it was Logan. I carried Logan in the Ergo, when we had McKenna it was something we did last minute and didn't have the carrier with us, so we didn't get to explore the inside of the boat like we did this time around.

The girls wanted to get into every possible bed they could

Snack time for McKaila

Time for Logan's feeding and to get out of the sun for a bit

Happy 2nd Birthday McKenna Grace

Today, our little girl, McKenna Grace turned 2!

It's really hard to believe that this little girl of ours is already 2, but in other ways, we think she's older then that. Courtney and I always say to each other, that we think McKenna is older then what she really is. McKenna just has this little spunk in her that makes us continually think she's older then what she really is.

Seeing her balloons hanging from the ceiling for the first time

Grandma and Papa Kuipers got her a baby with a high chair. She was so happy and usually will have the high chair next to her at all our meals, so she can feed her baby too

Legos from Grandpa and Grandma Nancy. She loves to build.

Mommy and McKaila made McKenna a Doc McStuffins birthday cake! McKenna got a huge smile on her face when we started singing "happy birthday" to her. She loved it

McKenna has a great spirit about her and is constantly on the go. McKenna is a full force girl, who would rather run then walk, that includes when she's playing in the house too. She has a gentle heart, which we love so much about her. She is the first one to run up to Courtney and I with open arms, to give us hugs and kisses and to tell us that she loves us. McKenna keeps us on our toes for sure, but we wouldn't have it any other way when it comes to her!

We love you, McKenna Grace
