See You Later, Daddy

We are currently experiencing the kids longest time apart from daddy. Courtney had to head to Wyoming to train, so he will be gone from us for close to 2 weeks.

As the kids counted out, while we were making a countdown, daddy is only away from us for 12 sleeps.

So far, we are 5 sleeps in and things are going well. For the most part, the kids have all acted very well, thank goodness, but of course we have moments where they have melt downs because they miss daddy. Heck, I've been having some melt downs because I miss Courtney. But, we are getting by and are looking forward to crossing out the last day on our countdown.

We love you, daddy and are missing you like crazy!

Father's Day

Father's Day was a day spent doing whatever daddy wanted.

And what did he want to do, see Cars 3 with the whole family. It was Logan's first time going to the movie theatre and he did so awesome!

After the movie, we came home, grilled up some dinner and just enjoyed being together because in the morning, it was time for us to take daddy to the airport.

It was a fun family day which was much needed!! And Cars 3 was awesome and I am sure the kids are looking forward to watching it over and over again once we can buy it.

Pool Time

We finally decided to upgrade our pool. For the last few years, we have had a small inflatable pool, which worked out great at the time because the kids were small, so they were just happy to have something to splash around in. Now that they are bigger they want to swim around, so finally this year, we decided to upgrade to a bigger pool!!

We tried a couple different pools, but since our backyard is on a slope, the first pool we purchased didn't work out, so out we went to get another one. Thankfully, that one worked out. We put it up as soon as we got home and filled it up. The kids wanted to get in it while we were still filling it, but they were patient enough to wait until morning.

And that morning, they woke up and first thing they said was "can we go in the pool?" Let me tell you, that water was ice cold, but they were still all about it. They didn't care one bit. So, off they went into the pool!

We spent a long day in the pool and the kids loved every part of it, even the ice cold water.

I see our summer full of swimming and lounging out in the sun in the backyard. It sounds like a perfect summer to me!

Kindergarten Nailed It!

Oh my gosh, is it really the last day of school already? It has flown by so fast! And how is it our first born is on her way to first grade already?

But wow, McKaila, oh how you've shown yourself this year in kindergarten. You are truly one smart cookie. At the end of the year, she is currently right where she should be in all subjects and in reading she is already reading at a first grade level.

Courtney and I are very proud of her and all that she accomplished this year. I see a bright future for her!

End of School Year Celebration

Ms. Alvarez put on a great end of the year celebration for all the kids and their parents. She had a little runway for each kid to walk down as she described the kids favorite things about school. Afterwards, it was all about the food and letting all the kids talk about play.

Thank you, Ms. Alvarez for all you did for all the kindergarteners this year!! We will truly miss you next year!

Get Outside

It's been one heck of a week. Courtney has been back and forth between working nights and days and now is currently working all weekend, due to drill. So, we are thankful that it's been nice and hot outside because when the kids are driving me crazy, you put on their suits and have them run through the sprinkler.

Even though these kids are driving me crazy and it's not even summer break yet, the smiles on their faces make me forget all about it and I feel ever so grateful that I have these 3 precious humans are my life.

Love my 3 chicklins so very much!!
