Road To The Race Shops

Something that we have been wanting to do since moving here, is travel to all the NASCAR race shops in our area. So, since Courtney had a couple days off, we decided to finally do it!

The kids were very excited and so were Courtney and I. We've been to most of the race shops, but there were some that we haven't been able to get to yet, since they are closed on the weekends.

So, we hit the road, and made our first stop at JR Motorsports. The kids think they are going to see Dale's car while we are at JR because this is his shop, but it's the shop he's the owner of, so we see plenty of Dale stuff around us, but no Dale cars.

After leaving JR, we decided to stop in at Kasey Kane racing. It was a really cool shop, little, but very nice. And I had a fan girl moment. When we looked down from the window to see the cars, we actually saw Kasey and his son, Tanner, working on one of the cars. They both waved at us and Tanner was acting silly for the girls. Pretty cool moment!

Next stop, Penske. We have never been able to make it there, so was interested to see what it looked like inside, since we've been able to drive by, but never go inside. I love Hendrick and going there as often as we can, the Penske garage is pretty dang awesome. We were very impressed and I think we will be trying to go back there soon. The walk way into the garage is sweet. Being able to be in the garage and feel like you are right there with the guys working on the cars is sweet.

After Penske, is was off to Stewart-Haas. The girls like going to Stewart-Haas because they get to see Danica's car. But, on the way to the next shop, this how McKenna was.

The last stop for our day, was at Chip Ganassi. We still had a couple more shops to hit, but the shops were closing up for the day, so we had to finish up our shop tour another day.

Chip Ganassi is also pretty cool in the fact that they have a walk way going out to the garage, so we can see the guys working. And Logan was even lucky to have one of the workers come over to us and give his some Kyle Larson winning stickers.

A couple day later, we got to finish our tour of the shops. First stop of the day, Hendrick Motorsports. I think this is all of our all day favorite shops to go too. Most likely, because Dale's car is there! We actually went to the garage the day they announced that Alex Bowman was going to be driving the #88 next year, so we saw Alex walking around, which was pretty sweet.

Since we got a later start, we had to fill up our bellies before heading to the next race shop, so to the mall we go to eat some lunch. I just got to say, I feel so incredibly blessed to have these 3 kiddos in my life. Heck, they drive me beyond crazy, but I sure do love them!

Last stop!! Roush Fenway.  They have a really cool museum to walk through, explaining the history of Roush Fenway and what is has now become. It's very cool to see how it started and all the fun facts from then until now!

There are many more shops that we haven't gone too because well they are a bit of a drive, but we got to visit all the ones in our area which is so cool. And it makes me so happy, that even traveling here and there, and getting in and out of the car so many times, these kids were always excited to see more cars.

LOVE Summer Days

We were lucky enough to have a visitor for the weekend, AUNTIE!! The kids love having auntie come for a visit and I love having my sister around to catch up on life and enjoy some adult conversation!

She even told Courtney and I to get out of the house and have some alone time outside of the house, so that was great to just go out and just enjoy being together without the kids being all up in our business. And I mean, the kids love when they get auntie time, so they weren't even bothered to see us leave for the afternoon.

Since it's been so beyond hot here in North Carolina, we had to have a day of sunshine and pool while she was here. So, we literally spent the whole afternoon soaking up the sun, cooling off in the pool, drinking adult drinks, and listening to some music. Toping it off with burgers on the grill for dinner.

It was a perfect summer weekend, for sure!!

Dress Up Fun

It's an every day occurrence over here in the Polnicky household, that all our dress up clothes come down from the rack and are put on. These kids love to dress up and have a great imagination while playing around in them!

Happy 4th of July

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July!!

We were happy to be able to spend our 4th with daddy. Courtney came home July 1st and ever since he came home, it's been all about Daddy!

We were also happy that we got to spend the 4th with our friends, the Geoffroy's. The kids had so much fun playing in the pool the whole afternoon. It was a great day of fun and lots of food!
