Freedom Park on Joint Base Andrews

Yesterday, was such a beautiful day outside, that we didn't want to be stuck in the house. So, we took a ride out to base, to play on the playground. They have many different playgrounds on base, but we chose this one, Freedom Park, so McKaila could watch all the planes take off. When we arrived at the playground, we realized that Air Force One was out and come to find out, he was going to be leaving soon!! So, we played for a while and then sat down to watch Air Force One take off.

Having a blast going down the slide

Love her!!!!
"ohhh!!" She spotted the helicopters preparing for the Presidents departure

Been awhile since we've taken a picture of just the two of us

Seeing Air Force One is a major highlight in being stationed at Andrews. Yes, it's not very fun that Courtney works long hours and isn't home very often, but something like this makes up for it. Courtney has gotten to shake the Presidents hand a couple times, and I've seen President Obama arrive to base via helicopter or his motorcade. It's something that we will never forget and are so happy that we've gotten the chance to experience this!!!

McKaila can see Air Force One heading our way on the runway

Good Bye Mr. President
