McKaila did really well in the car. It actually surprised me at how well she did. She was happy because she had her puppies right next to her and her IPad in her hands. Thank goodness for that IPad though or else I don't think the trip would have gone so smoothly. She kept busy with her movies and her number games. And when she got sick of that she was content with having Simon on her lap.
Once getting to Biloxi, we didn't have the keys to our house yet and because it was the weekend, the housing office was closed, so we had to stay at the motel on base. Which was great! It was like living in our own little apartment. 2 bedrooms, bathroom, laundry area, (I was very happy to be able to do some laundry) full kitchen, and living room. It was nice to fill like we weren't living in a motel in the 2 days before we were able to get our keys.
Since there wasn't a whole lot to do because we didn't have our house or any of our stuff, we did a lot of driving around. Dang, I love living 1 mile from the ocean. It's so great! So, we drove a long the water for a while, and went to the outlet mall, which isn't too far from where we live.
For the most part we have everything unpacked. Everything in the house is unpacked and put away, we just have to start hanging some pictures on the walls. My car has yet to be in the garage because we've been throwing all the empty boxes into the garage and it still needs to be organized with all our tubs. We are hoping to get that all done by this weekend. But all and all, the house is great and we love it. We have a park right behind our house that McKaila has been loving, but she also has her slide and stuff in our fenced in backyard and plays back there with the dogs.
We already love it here and know we are going to be really happy here.
