Monster Jam

Logan spends most his days playing with his monster trucks or begging to watch it on youtube, so when we found out that Monster Jam was going to be in Denver around his birthday, we knew that we had to get tickets to go.

Monster Jam was in town a few days before his birthday, so it ended up being a surprise early gift for him when he woke up that morning.

We had the kids close their eyes while Courtney held out the poster for them to see, while we told McKaila to tell Logan what it said. Once Logan heard "we're going to Monster Jam" his eyes got big with a big smile on his face, then started jumping up and down. It was the best!

I had bought a birthday shirt for Logan with a monster truck on it, so he got even more excited when I told him he got to wear his birthday shirt to Monster Jam.

The birthday boy was so excited and couldn't wait to get to the stadium to watch Monster Jam. But we also had a hour and a half drive to get to Denver. So, we heard "are we there yet?" and "mommy, I'm so excited" a lot during that drive.

Once we got there, Logan's face lit up and couldn't wait to get to our seats and get the show started! But even though it was Logan's birthday present, the girls were just as excited!

Logan likes all monster trucks and doesn't have just one favorite truck, but after going to Monster Jam, Logan now has a favorite. Max-D!

Seeing these huge trucks do all these tricks was a lot of fun to watch, but I enjoyed watching the drivers race their ATV's and Speedsters, just as much. I didn't realize that they also raced those, so it was pretty cool to see. These drivers have lots of talent, that's for sure!

The ATV's and Speedsters were awesome to watch, along with watching all the monster trucks fly through the air and do wheelies. They sure know how to put on an awesome show. But the way the show ended, got every one on their feet.

Monster Mutt was flying through the air and as he landed, the body started breaking apart. The more stuff he did, the more of it fell off, leaving just the nose part left of the monster mutt. Having that happened, only made him race even harder and he ended up flipping the whole monster truck. What a site to see!

At the end of the day, Zombie came out with the most points to win the Monster Jam trophy!!

Logan is already asking when the next time we get to go see Monster Jam, so I think it was a successful birthday present for our soon to be 4 year old!
