Pumpkin Painting

Last year, we weren't able to carve or paint pumpkins due to the birds and pronghorn getting to them, so we had to make sure that we made it happen this year.

It's still a couple weeks until Halloween, but after last year, I figured it was just best to get it done. So, while Courtney was at work for a few hours, it was time to get out the paint and pumpkins and have the kids decorate their pumpkins.

I was very interested to see what each of the kids were going to paint on their pumpkins. I literally put down the paint and paint brushes, had them tell me what  paint colors they wanted and then they could do whatever they wanted on their pumpkins.

They concentrated so hard on their pumpkins and they were each so very proud of themselves of the outcome.

Logan just painted and just went with. McKaila painted a light fury (how to train your dragon) all free hand and without looking at anything. McKenna just went with it too, but made sure to inform me that the red on her pumpkin is blood.

Each pumpkin looks different, but seeing their visions come out onto their pumpkins was pretty great.

Now, to display them outside and hope that the birds and pronghorn stay away!
