Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas EVE!!

As Dilly (our elf) always does on Christmas Eve, she left the kids some new Christmas pjs to wear for our Christmas Eve movie night and Christmas morning. To go with that, Courtney and I got the kids new loungers. They have had Pottery Barn kids chairs since they were little, but they no longer fit in those too well, so it was time to upgrade. I found these loungers that just use pillows and the kids fell in love with them!

It's not Christmas Eve without baking some cookies!! The kids are always very eager to help daddy make the cookies, but I think this year, they were more eager to get the cookies out of the oven to start decorating them.

When it came to decorating their cookies, these kids took their time. Usually, it's just about getting the frosting on the cookies, but this year, they had thoughts in mind on how they wanted each and every cookie to look.

I loved seeing them get into decorating this year. And let me tell you, they each turned out really good. The kids didn't even want to eat them because they took so much time to decorate them. But of coarse, they did end up eating the cookies because, who doesn't want to eat cookies?

Once the cookie decorating was complete is was time for some dinner and then....

MOVIE TIME!!

I love that the kids still enjoy sitting together as a family eating popcorn and watching the Polar Express on Christmas Eve. I know we probably won't have too many years of this, so I'm going to soak in every ounce of it right now.

These new loungers that we got the kids must be comfy because it didn't take long and Logan was out for the count. Unfortunately for Logan that also meant that he missed out on putting the milk and cookies out for Santa and the reindeer and also reading together before bed.

It was a busy Christmas Eve, but with that, we all had smiles on our faces and enjoyed every moment of the day!!

I love Christmas time!!
