Yup! That’s right, it’s the last day of school for these kiddos!!
The last day of school is technically next month, but due to our move, CVS (Cheyenne Virtual School) was willing to let us end a little early. I’m so beyond grateful for that because I was not looking forward to trying to get school work done while in the process of moving.
McKenna and McKaila are extremely sad that they are having to say good bye to their friends. As for Logan, he says he’s just sad to have to say good bye to his teacher, Mrs. Maloney.
For me, it’s all bittersweet. I have been doing this virtual school thing with the kids for the past 2 1/2 years. It’s going to be so strange next school year when I won’t need to do school at home and instead driving them to school each morning.
Together we have had many ups and downs, but thankfully, more ups than downs. Through this I got to see the kids in a different light. How each one is different with their learning. If they need silence or may be just a little bit of music playing in the background. We found out a lot about each other during virtual learning and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Many tears were shed by me in frustrated during this virtual learning, but even through the tears, this time I will forever be grateful for. I loved being able to get all this extra time with my littles and being able to understand them that much more.
Like I told the kids this morning, these last 2 1/2 years were some difficult ones. Not being able to go everywhere we wanted, doing school at home and not being able to see friends, but these are times that we are always going to remember. We may have been in the house for most of those 2 1/2 years, but we still made the most of it and were able to achieve so much.
