Keesler AFB Air Show 2015

We were so excited when they announced that Keesler AFB was going to be having an air show. Courtney and I went to a few different air shows before we even had kids, and then we attended 2 air shows at Andrews AFB with McKaila.

McKaila and McKenna have grown up loving airplanes and I am sure that it will be the same for Logan. We have many toy planes and we hear planes flying around our house daily, so how can you not love airplanes?

Courtney and I both will admit to anyone who asks, that it's hard for us not hearing planes flying by us all the time. When we were stationed at Andrews AFB it was constant plane noise flying above our house. Honestly, it was great. Some people don't like hearing that noise, but for us, it was normal. So, being here, and not having many planes fly by is pretty weird for us. We miss the noise of the planes, so the first thing we said to each other when the Thunderbirds started to practice is "we miss that noise."

Hearing and seeing the Thunderbirds practice was great. The house rattled when they flew by because they literally were flying right above the house or right in front of it, which was pretty cool. So, there we sat a couple days before the shows started watching the Thunderbirds fly from our driveway.

Every one in the Polnicky family was very excited for the air show. McKaila even started counting how many sleeps away until the air show, which was adorable. We spent all day at the air show, 10-5, and not once did anyone ask to go home. You could tell the girls were getting tired by the look in their eyes, but they just kept wanting to see more planes.

Of coarse, I took tons of pictures, about 400, so here are just a hand full of some of our time at the air show.

We all had a great time, even Logan when he was awake! Can't wait for the next air show to come our way!!

Grandma and Papa Visit

Every spring Heather's dad, also known as Papa from the grand kids, has softball tournaments in Florida. Since, we moved to Mississippi, Papa and Grandma made their way over to Mississippi before making their way home to Michigan.

With this visit, it wasn't just about coming here to play with the girls, it was about meeting their first grandson for the first time. I have to say, that both their eyes lit up with the sight of Logan, they were proud grandparents.

All of us had such a great time during their visit. Celebrated Heather's 31st birthday and spent every day while they were here playing. The girls just love having their grandma and papa here, their smiles are from ear to ear the whole time and are always sad to see them leave.

Back to Work

Last Thursday, it was time for Courtney to head back to work after having 20 days off after Logan was born. He got 10 days off originally, but decided to take another 10 on top of that to help out at home. It was so nice having him home for those 20 days to help out and get used to having 3 children in the household.

But now, it's just me, taking care of everything. I had a lot of anxiety leading up to the day that Courtney went back to work. I know how to take care of 2 kids, but adding another one, I didn't know how well that was going to go. I knew I could do it, but our middle child can make it difficult for me. McKenna has always been a mommy's girl, even more so now. She loves to be at my side at every moment possible, especially while I am holding Logan. That's why I had anxiety about being by myself, because when Courtney was around, he was able to play with the girls or take them outside, so I could have that alone time with Logan and feed him in peace without McKenna trying to get on my lap or something.

I will admit, the first day wasn't so good. I shed many tears because I felt like I was being pulled in every direction with the kids and once everything seemed to have calmed down for a bit, things went a little crazy again. I am so happy to have an amazing husband like Courtney, because he was always texting me, telling me I am a great mommy and everyone has their moments, and things would get better in time.

I am so happy that the days after that first day has gone so much better. I think the girls started to realize that it's just me now, so they have to be patient with me and I have to be patient with them. Of coarse, there are moments where I still want to rip out my hair because they aren't listening, but I am trying to enjoy every moment possible.

I love these 3 kids more than anyone will ever know and I will never get these moments back, so no matter how frustrated they make me, I try and take a deep breath and know that these moments will subside.
