As a mom of 2 girls, I knew that one day I wanted to buy them their very own American Girl doll! This weekend, I was able to do just that and I got to say, it made my heart so happy.
Growing up, I always wanted an American Girl doll and I have always said to Courtney that when we were able to, I wanted to be the one to get them their very first American Girl doll.
So, when we were at the mall in Denver and they had an American Girl doll store, we of course had to go in. The girls always love looking at all the dolls and all the fun stuff you can purchase to go with them. Then out of the blue, Courtney told the girls to pick a doll out. The girls faces lit up, they were so excited.
McKenna ended up picking out one of the truly me dolls. It's a doll that you think looks like you. When McKenna was looking at all the options in front of her, she saw this one and admittedly said this one was pretty just like her.
She was so excited when I handed her the box with the doll in it and couldn't stop talking about how she was going to save all her money so she could by outfits so they could match each other.
McKaila was very excited when she spotted Luciana and knew she had to get her. She is the Girl of the Year for 2018. Last year, when American Girl introduced her, McKaila said she wanted her, and now she does!!
McKaila has already been busy making Luciana a space ship for her first trip to space. We have a very creative girl on our hands.
Now for Logan.
Even though American Girl did introduce a boy doll and his name is Logan, Logan is all boy and only likes playing with his cars, monster trucks, and airplanes.
Instead, Logan got an awesome new bed. Built by daddy!!
So, to go with his new bed, we bought him all new bedding from Pottery Barn Kids. It's all Lightning McQueen, of course. He wouldn't have it any other way!!
I believe we have 3 very happy kids on our hands!!
