After leaving the lake, we went to visit with Courtney's grandmother. After spending sometime with her, we made our way up to Frankenmuth. We wanted one last little thing to do for the kids and thought this was the perfect thing since we more then likely won't be in this area again.
When we told them we were going to go to a Christmas store, they weren't too sure what we were talking about. So, the look on their faces when we pulled up to Bronner's and they started seeing all the Christmas stuff around, their eyes lit up.
When we walked into Bronnner's, they couldn't believe their eyes. They wanted to see everything! It was hard to even look around at one thing 'cuz the kids were already on to the next thing.
The kids loved everything about the inside, but they couldn't wait to get back outside to see all the big Santa's and penguins.
It felt great to be able to show the kids places in Holland that Courtney and I used to go, but to be able to take the kids picture in almost the same spot as we did at Bronner's, is pretty cool in my eyes.
The picture of Courtney and I in front of the big snowman and the penguins was taken in 2006. 13 year difference... so crazy!!
I believe the kids could have walked around Bronner's a lot longer then we did, me too, but it was time to head back to our motel 'cuz our travels back to WY was about to start early that next morning.
Thank you, Michigan for all the great memories! Hopefully it won't be so long next time!
