Merry Christmas!

 Merry Christmas from the Polnicky's!!

The kiddos woke up very excited to start the day on Christmas morning. And it didn't take long before they were asking if they could start opening their presents. I mean, us adults (Courtney, Amber and I) weren't even able to get any coffee made before presents started to be opened.

When each kid turned 3 years old, Auntie made them each their own book of pictures of them and her. The kids love those books and when they are missing Auntie, you will find them sitting in their rooms looking through their Auntie books. So, for Christmas Amber decided to make a new book for them, which included pictures of all of them together and all the fun times that we've experienced together and they loved them!

McKaila is a huge Taylor Swift fan and has always said that she wanted a guitar, so she can play like Taylor. When asked what each kid wanted for Christmas this year, we let grandpa and grandma Nancy know that getting a guitar was on McKaila's list.

The smile that came across McKaila's face when she realized that she was opening up a guitar was priceless. She was so excited and ready to go to her room and start strumming on her new guitar.

For the kids big present from grandpa and grandma Kuipers, the kids received a basketball hoop.

The kids have started to find interest in dribbling the ball and passing the ball back and forth, so when we mentioned maybe getting a basketball hoop, they got very excited about it.

The kids may not have gotten a room full of brand new toys, but for kids that have everything they ever wanted already, they didn't need all that. But they were very happy and excited about all the new things they received and excited to start playing.

It was a great Christmas full of lots of love and family time.

The kids couldn't wait to open up everything, so they could start playing with everything. McKaila spent most of the day listening to Taylor Swift in her room, while strumming on her new guitar. And when it was time to relax a bit, we gathered together in the living room with snacks and watched Christmas movies.

I've got to say, it was a very successful Christmas and was kind of sad when the day was over.
