HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LOGAN JAMES!!
5 YEARS OLD!!
Logan is a whole hand old and he is super excited about it. Every single morning he would come up to me and ask me "how many more sleeps until my birthday?"
He was so ready to be another year older and for me, not so much. I'm never ready for these kids to turn another year older, but with Logan being my last baby, I guess it's a little harder with him. But, seeing this little boy so excited about his birthday, I had to put my sadness aside.
The night before his birthday, he was trying his hardest to figure out what his birthday presents were. He truly started to believe that he wasn't getting anything from Courtney and I because he never saw me get anything for him at the store. I mean, he had a right to think that because he is with me every single day, but knowing I was with him all the time, I had to make sure to order birthday presents online.
So, when Logan came down the stairs the morning of his birthday, he was pretty shocked to see more than just presents from grandma and grandpa out for him.
While Logan was scanning through his presents, the smallest present there is what caught his eye. It didn't take long before he was asking if he could "open just one present?" I couldn't say no, especially because I knew he would love what was wrapped, a Bubba Wallace car!
Opening the rest of his presents would have to wait until after dinner.
For dinner, it was birthday boys choice. Logan's favorite place to eat is McDonalds, so off to McDonalds we went for Logan's birthday dinner.
Once we got home from dinner, it was time to open presents. Logan had been so patient all day waiting to open his presents, so as soon as he walked through the door, he rushed right to his presents. I think Logan set a record with how fast he opened everything. He was so excited to see everything he got, that he didn't waist anytime ripping off all the wrapping paper.
Most of the time, I make cake or buy one, but we never end up eating all the cake and throwing most of it away, so I began asking the kids if they want cake or something else. Logan decided he wanted a cookie cake with a monster truck on it.
Logan has recently become a cookie lover, so it really wasn't a surprise that he picked a cookie cake and he loved it!! He was very excited about it, especially after he saw it.
A big thank you to you all that sent messages via facebook, text and everything else. And thank you to our families for the gifts for Logan. Once again, Logan was spoiled and he loved every minute of it.
