Our little man is 8 years old! Just not ready for this! It must be because that Logan is my last baby, but when his birthday comes around, I have one heck of a time with it. The night before his birthday, I am just in tears because my last baby is getting older. Dang, I sure hate birthdays, but love them at the same time.
Logan did get to open an early birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa Kuipers, which he sure was excited about. With the big game (the super bowl) was approaching and with Logan being a Kansas City Chiefs fan, Grandma told him he could open his present, so he could be ready for the big game.
He finally got the Chiefs hat that he’s been asking for! He was so happy! He put it on right away and hasn’t taken it off much since then.
Logan was pretty bummed that he wasn’t going to be able to stay up and watch the whole Super Bowl game, but mommy and daddy did and wow… what a game! We couldn’t wait until we had to wake him up the next morning to tell him the awesome news….
CHIEFS WON!!
When we went in his room in the morning to get him up for school, Logan was already awake. Courtney went in telling him that Chiefs won and Logan responses with, “ I already knew. I asked Alexa who won!” He’s so funny. And love him so much!
Thankfully the Chiefs were able to pull that win off because we decorated the house with Kansas City Chiefs colors. Logan noticed right away that we had red and yellow (gold) all around the house and told me that he loved it!
Logan was excited that his birthday was on Monday this year and he told me that is because daddy has Mondays off, so he would be able to come to school at lunch with mommy and hand out birthday treats.
Once the school day was over, we headed out for an early birthday dinner of the birthday boys choice, Logan’s Roadhouse. Honestly, we have only been to Logan’s Roadhouse one other time, but he wanted to go here because his name is Logan.
After dinner, it was time to get back home and start the last of the birthday festivities, opening presents and have cookie cake!
Logan, just like any other birthday at this house, was spoiled and was loving every second of it!
Happy Birthday, LoGo! I hope it’s one you’ll always remember!! Go Chiefs!
