Happy Thanksgiving

 HAPPY TURKEY DAY

FROM THE POLNICKY CLAN!!

(and oh man... these kids of ours are looking so old in these pictures!)

It was a busy day of lots of cooking. I even had to make a list for myself on the times that everything had to either go in the oven or in a crock pot.

We had a lot of cooking going on, but it was all worth it in the end!!

The turkey came out amazing and so did all the other food that we made.

Turkey, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, gravy, rolls!!

It was all very, very yummy!!

We all filled up our bellies to the point where we couldn't take one more bite. I even ate enough to put me in a food coma... haha

After cleaning everything up, I literally sat on the couch and fell right asleep. I have never done that before, so the food must have been amazing!

Thanksgiving is sometimes very hard on me because it is times like this when you have family around and enjoy this amazing dinner with them. For us, we haven't had that for a while. We did, when we lived in North Carolina, but since moving here, it's just us. I shed lots of tears during these holidays because it is hard not being able to celebrate with family, but this is our life and a lot of times that just isn't possible to do. So, I will forever be grateful for these moments. Just the 5 of us, eating Thanksgiving dinner together and sharing what we are thankful for.
