EMMA

Before Pebbles even passed away, we were looking for a baby pug. I think in our hearts we knew that our Pebbles was going to be leaving us soon and our family just can't live without a little pug in our lives.

While Courtney was doing his searching, he found a woman with pugs, where the mommy had just given birth. Right away, Courtney reached out and told her that we were interested in one of her babies. After many failed attempts at possibly finding a little baby pug, she let us know she had one available. We were so excited, especially after she sent us pictures of the brand new little ones. And I mean little because they were only days old at that time.

Without hesitation, we were all in and told her we wanted Sissy (aka Emma)

The down side to it all was we had to wait 8 weeks until we could finally have little Emma in our arms. Let me tell you, those 8 weeks seemed to have taken forever. What helped with those 8 weeks though, is we got weekly updates of her. Once her and her brothers and sisters started walking, we even got sweet little videos of them playing with each other and running around the house.

The time finally has come and it's time to pick up our new little puppy. We were so excited and the kids were even more excited that we were going to be staying in a motel for a night before picking her up. We drove 6 hours into Kansas to stay the night and the next morning, we drove to Nebraska to get our Emma!

Each one of us was very excited to finally have Emma with us, but the kids would have to wait to finally hold and love on her because we were in the middle of nowhere and we wanted to make sure that we had somewhere where Emma could go potty after while.

Once we finally stopped, the kids were beyond excited to finally show Emma lots of love.

It was a long 5 hour drive to get back home, but Emma did very well. She slept most of the time, but when she was awake, all she wanted to was play.

Once home, it was time to see how well Luna and Meeko would do with having a little puppy around. Luna wasn't too sure at first, but with time, they were happily playing with each other and cuddling together while they napped. For Meeko, well... he's old, so he doesn't care. Meeko just stays to himself and is happy with that.

We are now a couple weeks into our new adventure with Emma and things are going pretty well. I think my biggest concern was how well Luna was going to do with her and I am happily surprised at how well they have done with each other.

Emma has been a great addition to our family and it's been really great to see how willing all 3 kids are about helping out with her. They are very eager to help out with feeding her and taking her out many times a day.

We love you so much already, Emma!!
