Welcome Home, Amber Jo!

The trailer is loaded up and now it’s time to drive to Amber’s new home with Jojo, along with his kids, Ethan and Lylah!

It was a 2 hour drive to get to Amber’s new home in North Carolina, but it was nice to be able to just chat with my sister before all the craziness started. I knew after this car ride, there wouldn’t be anymore alone time with my sister, so I made sure to take it all in.

She didn’t know, but Jojo wanted to surprise Amber with a welcome home party. He wanted her to feel like this was her home now and no better way to make her feel like that then to have family and friends there to help start this new adventure together.

But, not only was this going to be a welcome home party, Jojo had another surprise for Amber.

Jojo popped the question and she said….

YES!!!

I’m sad that Courtney and the kids couldn’t be there to help celebrate with Amber and Jojo , but I’m glad that I was able to be there, along with our parents.

It was a great day, meeting all of Jojo’s family, enjoying some great food and well… just hanging out, enjoying everyone’s company.

Day turned to night and Amber was determined with getting me on the side by side. With our parents in the back and the 3 of us in front, Jojo took us on a wild ride through fields. I wasn’t sure where I was or where I was going, but it was a fun time. Something I am sure the kids will enjoy once we are all able to visit!

Sunday is now here and it’s time for me to fly back home. It was hard being away from Courtney and the kids, especially since Courtney was leaving the next morning for 2 weeks, but being with my sister and being there to help with moving and help celebrate all the new exciting things in her life is something I’m incredibly happy I was able to be a part of.
