First Day of School!!!

 Here we go…. 

First day back in in-person school after 2 1/2 years!!

When we found out we were moving to South Carolina, the first question the kids had was if they were going to be able to go to school in person. Courtney and I already knew that was going to be a question the kids would have and we both agreed that it was time for them to get back in school. 

We had lots of talks about going back to school. McKenna was more than ready, but still wasn’t too sure about it all. Logan, he was totally against it, which I totally understand because all he’s ever known is doing school work at home with me. McKaila, she was ready to start her adventures in middle school. 

So, here we are today sending our kids back to school to be taught with a teacher that is standing in front of them and not via zoom, which is so odd to say since that’s all we have known for the past 2 1/2 years. 

The night before school, we had a lot of jitters and some tears (lots of tears from me, but some from McKenna also because she said she didn’t want to leave me. Cue more tears) But, all 3 of them woke up on the first morning of school and were ready to go. 

The week leading up to the first day, I will admit, I was a wreck. It was strange to think that I wasn’t going to have kids at home with me during the day. But, seeing the kids and how excited they were, it made me feel a little better. 

Their first day of school went great for all 3 of them. They all got in the car at the end of the day with big huge smiles and I felt so much relief seeing all 3 of my babies after school. 

1 day down and many more to go!!

These kiddos are going to rock the 2022-2023 school year!!!
