Zoo Day

 I desperately wanted to get out of the house and do something for the day. But, the big question is… what do we do? 

Courtney and I started putting out ideas when Courtney mentioned going to the zoo. It wasn’t the warmest of days, but not incredibly cold either, so I said “lets go!” After all, we did buy a yearly membership for the zoo, so we could go whenever we’d like and we haven’t been back since the first time going there. 

We mentioned it to the kids in which they got super excited and with that, we all got ready and were out the door in record time. 

It was a fairly busy day at the zoo, so it seemed when you looked at all the cars in the parking lot, but we didn’t seem to come across a ton of people. We were able to walk up to all the animal encounters, without a lot of people around us, which was super nice. 

Like the first time we came to the zoo, the highlight to the day was feeding the giraffes! It’s always fun getting the chance to get this close to giraffes and especially fun when you get the opportunity to feed these giant animals!

The Riverbanks Zoo was a great choice for the day! Getting some fresh air, walking around the zoo and seeing animals, but best of all, spending some outdoor fun with all 5 of us together!
