Logan's First Birthday Party

This year has flown by so fast and we can't believe that the time has come already to celebrate Logan turning 1. It came too quickly and I have got to say, I wasn't ready for it. Being that Logan is our last baby, it made it that much harder to reach this 1 year mark.

We didn't have a huge party just some of our friends and we were incredibly thankful that our family friends, Todd and Jodi, were able to make the trip to Mississippi from Michigan.

It was a small little party, but it perfect for our little boy!

Happy First Birthday, Logan James!!

I had to display all of Logan's monthly pictures

Playing

It's been on and off cold weather around here, so we have been spending most of our time inside playing.

When walking into our house, you will most likely find, the girls hiding somewhere, in preparation of jumping out at Logan when he's crawls to find them. The 3 of them are so much fun to watch and I love to see the smiles on their faces when they are playing together.

We do have plenty of times though that they don't get along. McKenna is still getting used to the fact that she has to share her toys with yet another person. Having it be just Logan and McKenna while McKaila is at school, she is getting used to the fact that she can't always have what the baby has. She actually has become a mother hen to Logan, which is so cute. If Logan is crying, she is right there with a new toy to give him, to see if that will make him happy.

These 3 chicklins are crazy, but we love them!

I don't want to play with toys, I just want to pull out all the diapers

Playing Sheriff Callie

Eating tortillas and watching Mickey Mouse

Look, I climbed up here all by myself

Air Force Life

Being a military family is amazing, but it's also very hard. I love being part of the military community, but it is also very hard.

It's hard being away from family and friends for months at a time, even years. It's hard hearing your kids say they miss daddy because he spends a lot of time at work. But then the smiles that come across their faces when he walks through the door, that's priceless.

It's hard feeling like you are mommy and daddy for most of the time, but you know what, I wouldn't trade it for the world.

I love that my husband is an Airman and he's a handsome one at that. I will always be proud of him and the decision that he made to join the Air Force.

The military life might not always be a grand one, but it is our life and we are proud of that!
