Slop Slop Sloppy Joes

Last night, dinner was Sloppy Joes. It's a quick meal when we really don't feel like doing a whole lot of cooking. And the upside to it all, is that McKaila loves it. She dug right into her food and didn't stop. McKaila always eats well, but there aren't many times that she finishes everything on her plate. But, last night, everything was gone and her plate licked! Yes, she picked up her plate and licked it clean. We have one silly girl on our hands!!

After eating most of her food, she decided to put her dirty hands all through her hair. Thankfully, it's bathtime after dinner!

It's Spring, but feels like Summer

Currently, it is 84 degrees in Waldorf, Maryland. It is pretty warm, but I love it and so does McKaila. The last couple days, as soon as I open the windows or the sliding glass door, McKaila is wanting to go outside. Which is great because it makes it really easy for her to go down at nap time. We literally were inside for about 15 minutes and McKaila was already down for a nap. It makes one happy mommy, that is for sure!

We mostly played in the front yard today, even though McKaila loves chasing the dogs around out back, but the grass is so long back there already, that it's hard to play around.

St. Patties Day

Most people spend their St. Patricks day drinking green beer and bar hopping, but for me (Heather) I spent my St. Patricks Day doing something so much better! Playing outside with my beautiful daughter, McKaila Rose.
Now that it's been in the 70's here, we've been spending a whole lot of time outdoors. McKaila loves it. She loves to run around and watch all the planes fly in the sky. She can spot a plane high in the sky, that Courtney or I couldn't see. It's crazy.

A couple days ago, Courtney surprised me with my birthday present. It was a few days early, but he said he couldn't wait to give it to me!!

I have been having lots of fun playing around with it, but McKaila has been enjoying it the most.

Crime and Punishment

One of the things that I've been wanting to do since moving to the area is to go to the Crime and Punishment Muesum. I love reading stories of crime and watching America's Most Wanted, so I knew I had to go there. Finally, today we got the chance! Courtney actually found really cheap tickets on Groupon, so it was an even better reason to go!! To add to it, it was close to 80 degrees today! It was a great and beautiful day!!!
