Daytona International Speedway & Daytona Beach

 I still can't believe that we actually we here, but we did, we got to tour the Daytona International Speedway! 

As far back as I remember, I always watched races in my bedroom, and now as I am getting older, my love for NASCAR has been passed down to our children. We make sure that with every race that we watch, we sit down together as a family and watch the opening of each race. It's become a very special moment for us. The kids love watching the cars, especially Dale Jr. You will often here the girls screaming "GO DALE GO" while the race is happening. 

The kids were just as excited as we were about going to the speedway. Now, let's just hope that some day we will actually be able to watch a race at the speedway and not just on t.v.

After spending much of the morning/afternoon at the speedway, we wanted to explore and let the kids nap a little bit in the car. We ended up at Daytona Beach! Amazingly beautiful! After driving around for a bit, we decided to get out of the car to explore. Too bad it was a little chilly to really walk on the beach, but we enjoyed it long enough for me to get some pictures.

It was one amazing day, and it was a great start to our vacation!
