It was a long holiday weekend, so we decided to take a mini vacay and go up to Baltimore for the weekend. It was a fun weekend, and like always, I wish I took more pictures of the kids with Auntie, but all in all, it was good to get away for awhile.
We didn't do a whole lot, other then on Saturday, we traveled to D.C. to go to the Air and Space Museum and on Sunday, Amber and I got to enjoy a sister day by going to see Bad Moms Christmas.
It was crazy busy in the museum, but we enjoyed it as much as we could. We spent most of our time looking at all the space stuff, because that's really all the interested them, well McKaila and I.
We haven't been to the Air and Space Museum since McKaila was a baby. They had added so much since then and we got to finally see the Amelia Earhart exhibit. They started to add that right before we left and now we finally got to see it!
We really wanted to do some more stuff around D.C. like have the kids run around the mall area or go to another museum, but it was just too dang cold for the kids. So, after spending the morning/early afternoon exploring in the museum, we went to get some lunch and then back home to Aunties to relax.
On Sunday, it was sister time. I was really looking forward to getting away for a little bit and enjoying some sister time since we don't get it often.
First, some lunch and drinks at Taco Fiesta, then to the theatre to watch Bad Moms Christmas. I can't wait to watch it over and over again when it comes out because it was hilarious!
The days went by extremely quick, but I am so happy that we were able to make this trip work. It was great to get away from NC for a bit before our lives get to crazy with the moving process.
