Christmas Eve

The kids know that on Christmas Eve, we bake Christmas cookies. So, when Christmas Eve finally arrived, they woke up very eager to get the baking started.

Each of the kids lended a helping hand in helping daddy get the dough ready. As each one was helping daddy, the other two were picking out the cookie cutters they wanted to use. Or playing with the frosting containers as Logan only wanted to do.

Time to decorate the cookies.

McKaila took her decorating very serious, as the other 2 didn't really have anything special in mind, just putting frosting on and some sprinkles.

After the kids were all done decorating their cookies, it was time to go outside and sprinkle the lawn with McKenna's reindeer food that she made at school.

McKenna was kind enough to even ask Logan if he would be willing to help sprinkle the lawn. Logan was very excited that she asked him to help, that he quickly put his crocs on and headed outside to help.

It was a very busy Christmas Eve of baking and lots of playing. So, when it was finally time for bedtime, the kids were more than ready. There was no asking twice for them to head upstairs to go to sleep, but before that, they had to set out the snacks they picked out for Santa and the reindeer.

It was a pretty great Christmas Eve, but looking forward to seeing the kids smiling faces when they come down the stairs Christmas morning!
