This years air show isn't like any other that we have experienced. F.E. Warren decided to still hold the air show, but of course abiding by the social distance rules.
Thankfully, for us, we didn't have to deal with the social distance part of it, we were able to watch the airplanes from the comfort of home.
The day before the air show, there was practice, and with that, I quickly realized that we were going to be able to see mostly everything from the girls bedroom windows.
All of us are always big fans of air shows and the kids were pretty sad when I told them we weren't going to be watching the airplanes up close and personal, but through the window of the bedroom. They were bummed, but they are starting to really understand all that's going on in the world and that sometimes it's best to just stay home and enjoy it from a window.
Honestly, I was pretty surprised at how much we were able to see. They did have some helicopters that were flying around in the beginning that we couldn't see well because they were closer to the ground, but all the other stuff, we were able to see great!
We really missed seeing the Thunderbirds this year (they cancelled due to covid) but I am thankful that we had something like this to still enjoy. With all that is going on right now, a lot of stuff is getting cancelled, so to have something like this to look forward to for the day, was a great distraction.
