4th of July

 We had a great holiday weekend, over here at the Polnicky house!

We spent all weekend in the pool!! It was everything that I have always wanted when thinking about holidays with the family. Last year, Courtney was out of town on the 4th, so having him here to enjoy it all with us, made it that much better. 

When the sun was close to setting, it was time for some fireworks. The kids were so excited about fireworks this year because in years past we had been living on base, where we couldn’t do fireworks. 

We started off with sparklers and then did a couple fountains. The kids weren’t too sure about those. It was pretty funny because they were all about the fireworks, but when it came to lighting them, they didn’t want anything to do with them.

The weekend wouldn’t be complete without some late night swimming. The kids really enjoy swimming at night with the pool light on, so that’s what we did!! We all had so much fun!! We weren’t ready for the night to end, but once 9:30 hit, we were all exhausted, so to bed we went!!!

It was a great weekend and can’t wait for many more weekends just like this in our future!
