We were ready for the storms to hit us, so we stayed at home for most of the weekend. Since we had more then enough food and drinks in the house, there was no reason to head out. We spent our Saturday night hanging outside hanging out with our neighbors on both sides of us. Our new neighbors, that are attached to us, have a 4 year old daughter, so McKaila and her have been playing with each other a lot. So, while the adults talked, the girls ran wild in the front yard. It's so nice having great neighbors and being able to stand outside for hours just talking.
Hugs for daddy

Usually you have to wrap McKenna up and rock her then she falls asleep, but this day she was so tired, she fell asleep just cuddling with her blanket

But there was a point during the weekend, where I just needed to get out of the house. So, we headed out for a quick bite to eat then headed to Target. We didn't really need anything at Target, but Target is always a great place just to roam around and in the end we always end up with something. Courtney has been having fun during our outings out. He gets to scoot around on the scooters. McKaila loves it too because then she gets to ride along and steer.

Speaking of Courtney, he had his surgery follow-up appointment this morning to see how he is healing. The appointment started off with getting his stitches removed, which was unexpected. The doctor says his bruising and swelling is a little more than to be expected but nothing completely abnormal. The doctor had to remind him how traumatic the surgery is despite only small incisions. The recovery will be long and even though Courtney is still experiencing pain it is more mentally challenging not being able to just get up and walk. Now, after having 2 weeks off, he'll be on his way back to work tomorrow. Even though it was hard for me having to take care of the girls and Courtney and felt like sometimes I was running around with my head cut off trying to get everything done and everyone fed, I'm truly going to miss having him around.
