Monthly Ultrasounds

I have yet to mention in previous posts something dealing with this pregnancy. Starting from the get go, I have had high blood pressure. I dealt with the same thing with both of my previous pregnancies, but it never got high enough where I was put on any kind of medication. Due to the fact that it was high already and that I dealt with it before, the doctors put me on blood pressure medicine.

I took it hard knowing I had high blood pressure to the point I was even in tears to the doctor, but the doctors have reassured me that everything will be ok. So, because of the high blood pressure, I will be having to go to a high risk doctor to get monthly ultrasounds to make sure that baby Logan is growing like he should and everything around him looks ok.

I just had my first ultrasound with the high risk doctor and everything went amazing. Before the ultrasound began, she talked about all the risks that could happen with having high blood pressure and what will possibly happen towards the end of my pregnancy. Like getting monitored more frequently and if I haven't already given birth, I will likely be induced between my 39th-40th week.

The ultrasound was great. No matter how often I get to see Logan on the screen, moving around in my belly, it's always going to bring tears to my eyes. He was moving a lot, which made it difficult for doctor to get some good profile shots of him, but we still got some pretty good pictures of our little boy. The doctor said, that Logan is growing great and is currently weighing around 10 oz. and his heartbeat is 152. She was very happy with what she saw and didn't have any concerns about anything, so we were very relieved by that.

Reconfirmed it's a boy :)
