32 Weeks with #3

Logan James
Currently the size of a winter squash
Weighing in at 4 lbs 5 ounces
Approximately 15-17 inches (crown to heal)
Third Trimester
Heartbeat 149
Loves moving around at night, especially before bed time
About 52 days to go

Oh, have I been feeling uncomfortable. Logan has taken up so much of my belly and he lets me know. His movements are strong and sometimes hurtful because he is so strong. Even though some of his stretching movements are sometimes hurtful, I am enjoying every bit of it. Knowing this is the last child I will carry in my belly, I try to enjoy every bit that I can.

The last appointment that I had was with the high risk doctor. Now that Logan is getting so big there isn't much to my ultrasounds. She checks my blood pressure (which has been really good), his heartbeat, the fluid surrounding Logan and making sure he is still growing like he should be. Everything has been measuring great, including Logan. She thinks that when he is born he will be around 7 pounds.

This week, I also started having to go up to labor and delivery twice a week. So, every Tuesday and Friday I have to go up to labor and delivery to be scanned for 20 minutes. They are just making sure that I am not having any contractions that I may not be feeling and that Logan's heartbeat is steady. They also will be checking my fluid around Logan too. Thankfully, all is good. No contractions and my fluid is just where it should be.

As of the past week, I have been starting to feel very anxious about Logan's arrival, more so when the doctor and I started talking about labor. We talked about setting a date for getting induced if he hasn't come on his own, but also talked about that once 36 weeks hits, they wouldn't stop my contractions. So, it's crazy to think that beginning January 23, Logan could possibly decide so make his appearance. So, with that on my mind, I have been busy getting things ready. Washing clothes and everything in between. Now, it's just to start preparing a hospital bag.

Merry Christmas 2014

Christmas morning started off with McKaila running into the kitchen to see her new kitchen set from Grandma and Grandpa Kuipers. The girls quickly started playing with the kitchen that I think they forgot all about all the other presents that were under the tree.

After some time, we got the girls settled down a little and began opening presents. McKaila was very eager to open all the presents with her name on them, but McKenna not so much. McKenna opened her first couple presents and after that, she had no interest at all. Her first presents that she opened was a set of Doc McStuffins silverware and a plate, so with that, she only had interest with those.

Even though McKaila has tons of My Little Pony's, her favorite present she said was Rarity from her Auntie

My mother always spoils me with Rachael Ray stuff at Christmas!!
The girls got a Jeep from Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Polnicky. They had so much fun riding around. It took McKaila a while to get the hang of it, but once she did, she had a ball driving her sister around.

Christmas Eve 2014

Christmas Eve for the Polnicky family started with the baking of Christmas cookies. The girls were really excited about all the shapes that they got to carve into the cookie dough. There is a limited amount of counter space so the girls were very good at taking turns with the different shapes.

Once the cookies were done baking, it was time for lunch, then nap time, so once everyone was awake, we started decorating the cookies. The girls had so much fun pouring endless amounts of frosting and sprinkles on their cookies. But we loved watching their faces of enjoyment while doing so.

Once cookies were decorated, it was time for baths and to finish our night with watching The Polar Express and reading The Night Before Christmas. But, before we went upstairs for bedtime, we had to leave out cookies, chex mix, and milk for Santa and his reindeer.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

Christmas Pictures 2014

It was time to take pictures of our beautiful little girls for our Christmas cards and the only place we could think of doing them was, of coarse the beach!

I was a little nervous about taking pictures of the girls by the water because these girls love the water so much, I didn't think I would get any good ones of them. Thankfully, I was able to a handful of good pictures before they started running into the water.

I love how much they love each other

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

Santa Clause

Just like last year, we hit up the Beau Rivage Casino to get pictures with Santa. This year, we went with our neighbors, which was nice since we also had about an hour wait before Santa showed up for pictures. It was a packed house, so it's a really good thing that we thought about getting in line an hour before Santa was due for pictures.

I was very unsure on how McKenna was going to react to Santa. She has never been too happy with anyone dressed up, but when Santa first came out and was walking around, she seemed really interested in him. Then it was the girls turn to sit on Santa's lap and McKenna wasn't happy. She was very unhappy, but Courtney sat her on Santa's lap anyways and the cries started. McKaila was so excited to sit on Santa's lap and told him that she wanted Frozen stuff for Christmas.

As we waited for the Santa pictures to be printed out, we went and got the girls their milk and cookies, along with coffee for Courtney and I, then we went to the arcade to let the kids play some games. McKaila went straight for the skee-ball game. Of coarse, it didn't take long before McKenna wanted to be part of the game too. It was so cute to watch them try their hardest to roll the balls into the numbers, and it was even cuter to see their excitement when they scored as McKaila would yell out.

I felt horrible for having to put McKenna on the lap of Santa, but I got to say, I can't help but smile when I see the girls picture with Santa. It's priceless.

Baby Registry

Courtney and I have been asked a lot lately, "what else do you need for Logan?"

With baby #3 there isn't a whole lot that we need, but there are some things that we would like for our new baby boy. Some boy colors, since all we have in this household is pretty much pink and purple. Some items like bottles have gotten enough use from 2 kids that it was time to pitch those.

The time is creeping up on us very quickly so I decided to put together a registry if any one was interested in getting Logan anything. Nothing is expected but every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated.

We registered at Target, search Heather Polnicky in registries.

THANK YOU

O Christmas Tree 2014

Since Courtney and I started having children, we came up with the idea of getting a real Christmas tree instead of having a fake one. I have been loving every Christmas and hunting down the perfect Christmas tree for our house, it's even better when the girls get excited about it too.

Since we started doing the whole real Christmas tree thing, I have always wanted to go to an actual tree farm and cut down our own tree, but that has yet to happen, but I am sure it will happen one day.

This year, I searched and found a couple different tree farms that we could go to and actually cut down our tree, but once getting there, we couldn't find the tree for us, so we ended up at the shop that we got our tree from last year and within seconds of walking around, we found the perfect tree.

The girls were so excited to get home and start decorating it, and we heard all about it until we pulled the tree out of the car. We could barely get the tree straight and the lights on the tree before McKaila and McKenna started putting ornaments on the tree. Thankfully, I was still able to get some quick pictures of the girls before they went to crazy with putting the ornaments on.
