Cheyenne Frontier Days

Cheyenne Frontier Days is the largest outdoor rodeo, which made us very excited to be able to attend it this year. And now we are looking forward to the many years to come, to be able to attend CFD.

I had no idea what to expect when we attended our first rodeo, but wow, I think we are all hooked.

Courtney was able to get some volunteer passes for working the open house, so we were able to park (get on a bus and they would bring us to the gate) and get tickets to the rodeo for free. I guess hard work, does truly pay off!

Logan and McKenna's first school bus ride

Courtney ended up working later then he originally thought, so we weren't able to watch the full rodeo that day, but what we did see, we truly enjoyed.

The girls really enjoyed watching the female barrel races, as did I, but I think what really hooked me into the rodeo scene was the bull riding. Wow. The bull riding is ridiculously crazy. What these guys do and put themselves through is unbelievable. It's true talent, for sure! Luckily, no one was hurt, other then some of the guys, getting up and limping a bit after getting thrown off the bull.

After watching the rodeo, we decided to walk around a bit, since the skies at the moment were still clear.

One thing I really wanted to do while we were there was go walk through the Indian Village. And it just so happened that once we got to the village, it was almost time for them to dance. That was one of my favorite things to watch when I visited Montana, so I was exited to watch some Indian dancing again.

After all the performers danced, they all came out again and danced for the friendship danced. They offered anyone to come out and dance, which the girls wanted to so badly and were happy when one of them came up to them, grabbed there hand and took them out to dance. McKaila and McKenna were smiling ear to ear, it was so cute!!

Cheyenne Frontier Days was so much fun and I am already looking forward to next year and I would believe that the rest of the family would agree!
