Open House At The Wyoming National Guard

The open house that we attended at Courtney's work wasn't like we are used to. Usually, there are a bunch of military planes and helicopters to tour along with being able to watch the Thunderbirds or Blue Angels fly. Here there were more privately owned planes, then military planes.

Not saying that it wasn't cool to attended the open house, because it was, but we are used to seeing so much more. The girls were able to tour the helicopter that flies around base along with the C-130 that is stationed on base.

Lucky for us though, the Thunderbirds were delayed with their flights, that we got to watch them take off (they were stationed at the base) and perform a little bit, but mainly from a distance.

Here, they don't have the actual performance on base, it was at a nearby college, so we couldn't really see much of what they were doing. They did do a couple fly overs by us, which was great to see, but hopefully next year, we will be able to see everything from right there on base.

Thunderbird Pilots

The great thing about these open houses being at Courtney's work is that we get to walk around before all the people get there. So, the kids got to walk up into the C-130 without everyone else around and even got to go up front and talk to the pilots.

They also got to enjoy the bounce houses before the craziness started. If you ask the kids what their favorite part of the open house at daddy's work was, they would most likely say the bounce house.

Thunderbirds made a heart in the sky

To end the day, the Leap Frogs performed their aerial manuvers. What an awesome thing to watch!!

Even though it was a small open house, it was a fun day.

Excited what next year will bring to the open house because we know we will be there for sure!
