Thanksgiving break started earlier than expected this week, even for Courtney, because Tuesday ended up being a SNOW DAY!!
We ended up getting a little over a foot of snow here and as the snow was falling, the kids were already begging to get out in it, so they could go sledding.
Here's the thing. It's cold, really cold! 18 degrees cold. And it's been windy, but the kids were determined to get out there and do some sledding.
So, we got every one bundled up and heading out to the hills here on base.
Believe it or not, but this is the first time the kids have been sledding and to say they were excited was an understatement.
They didn't care about the cold, they were just ready to go.
They were having so much fun, including Courtney!
The kids went done countless amount of times, but after about 20 minutes or so, we had to call it quits. It was just too bitterly cold outside to be out for too long.
I think the kids were more cold than they will admit because they didn't put up a fight at all when we told them only a couple more times down the hill and then we would have to call it quits on the sledding for the day.
After getting back into the car, with their faces all red from the cold, they were already begging to go sledding again tomorrow.
So, I would say that their first experience sledding was a huge success!
