Eudora Wildlife Safari Park

 Last year, the kids and I ventured out of Sumter to have some fun at the safari. Since then, the kids constantly have been saying that we need to take Daddy to the safari, since he was deployed when we went. 

With it being Veteran’s Day, Eudora Wildlife Safari Park was offering free admission for military and their families. We had to take them up on that offer and finally take Courtney to the safari. 

Courtney may have heard our many stories and see lots of pictures from our time at the safari last year, but he still wasn’t too sure on what to expect going into this. 

We weren’t even at the entrance when we had already spotted the first animals. They were waiting, right there at the entrance, knowing just what was inside the cars coming at them. 

The animals didn’t waste anytime getting their slobber and dirtiness all over the car, including the inside of the car. These animals were greedy, some more than others, but it was so much fun. Even though the kids and I knew what to expect, it was still fun watching their faces in shock when the animals would peak their heads all the way through the window. 

For some reason we couldn’t feed the zebras, but the zebras were constantly trying to convince us to feed them. The zebras really enjoyed our attention. It was pretty sweet in the fact that we got to touch some zebras. I mean, who can say that they have given a zebra a good pet like you would a dog. Pretty dang cool, I would say! 

When it came to the camels, well, they were on another level of greediness. If the camel wasn’t getting anything from one side, it would make its way around to the other side of the car. This continued for a good 5 minutes. It was so funny. The camel just wanted lots of love, I mean, these camels continued to put their whole head and wrap around to the back by the kids. The laughs were endless while the camels were trotting around us. 

The morning at Eudora Wildlife Safari Park was amazing. 

We had so much fun and I think this may become one of our new traditions. Going to the safari every Veterans Day.
