The auto show was in Charlotte, so let’s make a weekend of it.
We’re going to be upgrading our vehicle soon and no better way to get in a bunch of different cars with all 5 of us in it, than an auto show.
Unfortunately, it’s no where close to the Detroit Auto Show which probably takes the whole day to walk through everything. The Charlotte Auto Show wasn’t much, but at least we got to get in different kinds of vehicles to understand better of what would work out best for our family.
We had lunch at the coolest place. It is called Optimist Hall. There was 25+ food and bar stands with seating outside and inside. Along with food, there was a mix of different stores that sold a variety of things. It was the perfect spot to eat and just hang out for a bit. Really, I wasn’t ready to leave because it was just a cool place to be and I look forward to going back the next time we’re in Charlotte.
When we confirmed that we were going to Charlotte for the weekend, I right away looked to see if the Christmas light show had started at the speedway. They opened the speedway for the lights, the same night we were getting into town, so we planned on the next night to head to the speedway to look at the Christmas lights.
What an incredibly fun time at the speedway Christmas lights. I always loved going to the speedway when we lived in NC, so to experience it all again, made my heart happy because I sure do love me some Christmas lights at Christmas time!
It was a quick trip to Charlotte, but a great trip at that. We made some great memories as a family and we always look forward to going to Charlotte, even when it doesn’t involve any NASCAR.
