It’s officially springtime and the kids and I are loving it. We love all the sunshine we’ve been having and now that it’s the weekend, it’s time to enjoy some of the sunshine outside.
But, first, the kids wanted to stop at the library and get some new books to read. After spending a good amount of time looking over many, many books, we headed out for lunch and then off to Swan Lake.
We weren’t really preparing to walk around the whole lake, but it was so beautiful out, that we ended up walking around the whole lake and stopping many times along the way.
The day was just perfect. All the flowers were in full bloom and we couldn’t help but stop and look at them all. We even found tulips, which most know, those are my absolute favorite.
Along our walk, we stopped at any bench we found and just took in our surroundings, watching all the swans and geese and just enjoying nature. McKaila, took her sketch book and even got inspiration for all the nature around us. McKaila is an amazing artist and mostly just sticks to what she knows when she’s drawing something, so it made me happy that she wanted to sit on a bench and draw what it was in front of her. She ended up drawing flowers, swans and the beautiful trees that surrounded us.
We definitely feel blessed to have such a beautiful place like, Swan Lake to enjoy beautiful days at! We look forward to many more days, just like this one!
