McLeod Farms Market

 HAPPY FALL Y’ALL!

It’s that time again!! Time to scour the pumpkin patch for the perfect pumpkins!

This year we decided to try a new pumpkin patch. We really haven’t found a pumpkin patch that we absolutely love since moving here, but we will try our best until we find it. We went to the best pumpkin patch in Colorado, so everywhere we go around here, we always compare it to Bartel’s in Colorado.

We got to McLeod’s fairly early, which was nice because there wasn’t a whole lot of visitors there yet and it wasn’t terribly hot yet.

With not having been to McLeod’s before, we weren’t too sure what we were getting ourselves into, so we decided to do everything that they had to offer while we were there.

First things first, get onto the hayride to bring us to the corn maze!

The kids were excited to see all the Moana characters when we arrived to the corn fields. The theme of the corn maze was Come and Sea.

You need to venture through the corn maze to find the different characters of Moana. Along the way there were also checkpoints with questions about the movie, it would give you 2 different answers, but you had to answer with the right one, to figure out the next way to go.

This was the first time we all did a big corn maze together and I would have to say that we all truly enjoyed it. Courtney and I let the kids lead the way, so we did end up going in the wrong direction once, but other than that, the kids worked really well together in figuring out the right ways to go.

Once we were through the maze, it was time to hop on the hayride again and head to the pumpkin patch.

Their pumpkin patch is large with so many different kinds of pumpkins. We could have spent hours roaming through all the rows of pumpkins, but by the time we got to the pumpkin patch, it was getting very warm and the bugs were out in full force. The kids each picked out a pumpkin to paint and the kids also helped me pick out some pumpkins to display around the house.

It ended up being a lot warmer than we initially thought, but we did have lots of fun. We did find out that we could have just gone into the store and just get pumpkins there instead of having to go to the pumpkin patch, but oh well, it was all about the experience.
